Summary:

This position is crucial in engaging and leading diverse multidisciplinary teams in driving transformational change. It demands the focused utilization of clinical & operational expertise managing integrative processes and strong leadership. The Clinical Engagement Project Manager collaborates with executives & senior clinical and operational leaders to drive best practices that deliver high impact & safe patient care for the entire care team to achieve high quality outcomes.

Responsibilities:

Co-leads enterprise-wide annual & long-term nursing initiatives from across the organization to identify and establish strategic clinical opportunities. Devises and executes processes geared towards delivering highly effective care and safeguarding patient safety. Collaborates with nursing clinical & operational leaders to solve complex problems facing clinical care. Leads enterprise teams with system facility nursing leadership & front-line nurses to develop action planning to drive clinical & operational performance enhancements throughout the year.

Utilizes data and analytics to establish system-level nursing clinical & operational process improvement to deliver best care practices. Fosters a culture of change to promote a high reliable organization. Ensures evidence-based clinical approach striving to improve clinical objectives while seamlessly integrating into clinical operations. Leads successful execution of clinical initiatives across various operating entities and disciplines ensuring differences of scales and scope across nursing.

Governs the utilization of established nursing clinical practices policies procedures regulatory and accreditation requirements as well as applicable professional standards. Monitors process & outcome metrics to ensure quality outcomes utilized for strategy and growth of nursing is in line with industry standards for patient care.

Manages system-wide resources and strategically prioritizes the efforts of Brown University Health*s nursing clinical practices. Leads the entire project lifecycle of clinical & operational process improvement teams employing the methodology of define design and implementation. Ensures compliance with regulatory and accrediting body requirements while overseeing the phases of improvement for nursing clinical practices policies and clinical decision-making tools with the electronic health record.

Inspires collective purpose supporting key nursing clinical & operational initiatives both individually and in a group setting. Articulates new possibilities and fosters engagement through direct positive meaningful conversations. Resolves disputes crafts agreements that are perceived as a collective advantage to all parties involved. Customizes strategies adapting processes behavior and substance to facilitate mutually beneficial outcomes.

Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

Master*s degree in business administration healthcare administration or related field.

EXPERIENCE:

Five years of process improvement experience Nin a clinical setting required. Three years of leadership experience required.

Must demonstrate a strong clinical/science background as normally demonstrated with five to seven years of experience in a progressively responsible capacity or an equivalent combination of relevant education business technical and healthcare experience. Must have a high tolerance for ambiguity and ability to manage and facilitate large-scale high-profile projects and plans in a complex and fast-paced healthcare setting. This includes demonstrated ability to identify and resolve complex problems through innovative solutions. Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills as well as team building skills required to lead influence and motivate others at all levels in the organization.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

Provides functional guidance to others who may be assigned on a project basis.
