Quality Inspector I

SUMMARY: This position is primarily responsible for the verification and inspection of received parts.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Creation of inspection criteria for incoming parts and components, including updating criteria in the event of updated vendors or engineering changes
• Review of shipping container invoices for inspection settings prior to arrival to ensure necessary information is available for inspection upon arrival
• Updating of QC inspection requirements for parts and component in all necessary systems
• Creation of addition work order for the rework of defective parts or components as required
• Complete and update Quality Control Record as required in necessary systems
• Comply with the QC Inspection Guide to ensure consistency in process
• Verify certificates of conformance against incoming product and file as appropriate
• Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or GED
• A minimum of 1 years of relevant work experience
• Must be able to read a tape measure and calipers
• Must be able to use tape measure, calipers, and other measuring devises
• Must travel up to 5%

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
• Knowledge on use of FARO measurement system
