Description
Hourly Rate: $17- $25 an hour Position Summary: Children's Aid (CA) Summer Rising camp, is funded by the Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD). The program operates from Monday through Thursday, from 12pm-6pm and Friday, from 8am-6pm. The program offers children educational instruction, and the opportunity to engage in an array of enriching art-based activities and SEL (social-emotional learning) activities. A Facilitator is a dedicated leader responsible for supervising and engaging a group of 10-15 elementary or school-age children in educational and recreational activities. They serve as role models, fostering a positive and inclusive environment while providing tutoring in reading, writing, and math. Facilitators implement S.T.E.M. and SEL curricula, manage classroom behavior, and build strong relationships with children and their families. Their duties also include planning lessons, leading games, supervising lunch, maintaining equipment, and supporting special projects. Punctuality, responsibility, teamwork, and a positive attitude are essential, along with participation in staff meetings and trainings. Essential Duties:
