Status: Seasonal, Non-ExemptStarting Wage: $15.00/hr.
Department: Sheriff's Office
Position Open Until Filled
*Monday - Friday : Juniors going into Senior year*

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The following duties are typical for this position; however, other duties may be assigned as available or necessary. This list in exclusive to all tasks, nor is it all inclusive. To be successful in this role, an individual must complete each task satisfactorily to the standard of the Dodge County Sheriff's Office.



  1. Maintain Confidentiality
  2. Vehicle maintenance and shuttling
  3. Create Professional Documents/Documentation
  4. Use office tools
  5. Contribute to Report Writing
  6. Support Training
  7. Observe Court Testimony
  8. Provide Community Law Enforcement Education
  9. Monitor Weather/Environment Conditions
  10. Assist in Investigations
  11. Assist/Support Evidence Custodians
  12. Deploy Equipment in the Community
  13. Support Tobacco Sales Compliance
  14. Support Traffic Control Efforts
  15. Support Foot Patrols
  16. Develop Public Relations Materials
  17. Support the Review of Traffic and Crime Data
  18. Support follow-up efforts
  19. Other tasks as directed by the Sheriff


PHYSICAL AND WORK ENVIRONMENT



  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Reliable attendance
  • Knowledge of Personal Protective Equipment.
  • This work requires the occasional exertion of up to 25 pounds of force; work regularly requires walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling and reaching with hands and arms.
  • Work has standard vision requirements.
  • Vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word.
  • Hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels.
  • Work is generally in a moderately noisy office setting.
  • Work requires observing general surroundings and activities.
  • Work will include occasional outdoor activities in seasonal weather extremes.
  • Skill in organizational and time management to prioritize duties

Qualifications
Experience
The employee must have the ability to testify in court as a credible and trustworthy witness. (required)
Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and criminal background check. (required)
Juniors going into Senior year of High School. (required)
Must be at least 16 years of age. (required)
