Description

The Executive Director, Pharmaceutical Research & Development (R&D) is a key leadership role in Global Scientific Affairs responsible for overseeing and managing the full lifecycle of R&D projects within the organization. This individual will report to the Chief Scientific Officer to ensure that all projects are executed efficiently, meet their objectives, and align with the company's strategic goals.

Job duties:



  • Responsible for product development according to the company's business plans.
  • Participate in portfolio selection, global forums and due diligence of business development assets.
  • Supervision of the development process in formulation R&D, analytical R&D, preclinical trials, and toxicological evaluations. Supervision of the technology transfer process and analytical methods to the manufacturing plant.
  • Mentor research team and provide professional guidance as needed.
  • Ensuring compliance with FDA guidelines and safety regulations in the laboratory.
  • Participation in the preparation of ANDAs.
  • Planning the annual budget.
  • Monitoring professional literature and writing patents.
  • Organizational development of the R&D team.
  • Collaborate with other departments in Padagis.
  • Deciding on the development pathway.


Minimum qualifications:



  • Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences (preferred) or Life Sciences with at least 10 years of experience, or MS degree with 15 years of experience
  • Five (5) years of management experience in a successful generic pharmaceuticals company in the US
  • Proficiency in modified release oral solids


Preferred qualifications:



  • Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences
  • Familiarity with other dosage forms
  • Formulation background in generic pharmaceuticals industry
