Responsibilities and Expectations:

The Project Manager will perform Project Management Activities related to IPS PowerServe Field Services and related repairs. As Project Manager, it will be crucial to collaborate with the local districts; your inclusive yet decisive leadership of the various project teams will be key to their performance and success.

  • Be the primary customer interface throughout the execution phase of assigned projects - drive customer NPS, centricity, and responsiveness across the Order-to Remittance (OTR) organization.
  • Assume overall project ownership and responsibility for Electrification Services USA matrix team including HSE, Engineering, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Logistics, Finance, and Services.
  • Drive OTR process initiatives, customer/contract requirements, VCP, quality, project management process, lessons learned, issue resolution and customer collaboration. Adhere to the business' Project Management process.
  • Manage project commercial risk issues including claims, receivables, contract changes, margin enhancement and effective project closeout.
  • Assume ownership of the Project financials - Revenue, Costs & Cash and the Monthly Estimate at Completion (EAC) forecasts.
  • Provide clear and concise direction/communications - both oral and written, and rigorous project documentation
  • Ensure complete contract compliance and its subcontractors. Manage scope creep and changes accordingly.
  • Support the Risk process at the ITO stage with input on project costing, scope, schedule, and execution risks.
  • Embrace and implement all project related Business initiatives.

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing projects >$500K.
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to effectively manage a matrix team.
  • Ability to anticipate events and develop adaptive strategies/tactics.
  • Ability and willingness to travel 25% of the time, as required.
  • Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a valid passport and driver's license.
  • Licensed Engineer Certification or eligibility preferred.
  • Accountable, resourceful, committed; willing to make tough decisions and accept the consequences.
  • Thorough MS Office software literacy including the use of sophisticated calculation spreadsheets in MS Excel.
  • Contract management experience.
  • Strong customer service abilities.
  • Technical knowledge of Hydro product and service offerings.
  • Knowledge of power distribution, utilization equipment and application considerations including the various types of switchgear, relays, breakers, transformers, motors, generators (including control & excitation) and variable speed drives.
