About the Job

Position: Temp or Casual Research Assistant
Dates: 6/30/25 - 12/31/25 if temp OR longer if casual
Hours and pay: $20 per hour, up to 14 hours per week

This is a temporary/casual position supporting research and chemical analysis in the Busta lab.

Duties and Responsibilities (100%)

  • Prepare and analyze wax samples with GC-MS
  • Analyze wax sample data with R and generate relevant plots and conduct statistical analyses
  • Organize and maintain a mass spectral database
  • Maintain equipment and work area according to high standards of cleanliness
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS or a combination of related education and work experience to equal four years
  • Applies knowledge and skill to a recurring task or activity with emphasis typically on precision and timeliness of execution.
Pay and Benefits

Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour, up to 14 hours per week
