Job # PR25051 Job Title Project Analyst Office Location Roanoke, VA Business Function/Department Industrial Systems/Operations Sales Territory, if applicable General Role Description Provide analytical and administrative services for engineering, commissioning, and project management Role Accountabilities - Provide project management to successfully execute commissioning projects, coordinating cross-functional project teams, including parent company resources and suppliers, ensuring that company objectives are met - Forecast reserves and accruals for projects, as assigned - Identify opportunities and provide recommendations to manager for improvements on project execution processes - Forecast completion cost for commissioning projects and adjust budgets based on earned value - Forecast all major commissioning project completion percentages for each fiscal half until project completion in accordance with ASC606 revenue recognition rules - Analyze and summarize historical project data to be used for preparation of business mid-range plan (MRP) - Negotiate commissioning service invoice variations with clients in order to obtain a purchase order increase as needed - Review assigned business unit reports, identify potential problem items, validate with Application Engineers, Project Managers, and Sales Managers, and make necessary corrections - Create site memos for each commissioning project, per company policy - Facilitate project review tollgate meetings to review project tasks order status, forecast revenue dates, billing events for accuracy, and document latest status including required actions - Create electronic project folders using the latest standard template, update and maintain accurate project information in business unit server - Identify required delivery dates for each project task, confirm with Sourcing that purchase orders are issued in a timely manner based on required delivery, reporting exceptions to management as appropriate - Issue invoices in timely manner when contractual billing requirements are met, contacting finance department for tax certificates if required and expediting if necessary - Originate projects in ERP, including, tasks, budgets, agreements, and billing events, retaining and archiving supporting information - Review and approve transferred timesheets and expense reports for assigned commissioning projects per applicable company policies, escalating to management as appropriate - Track performance against task budgets, report variances to project management, and update forecast budget, as assigned - Verify Terms & Conditions (T's & C's) on purchase orders, identify risks, resolve issues or escalate per guidelines prior to order entry - Enter new tasks into cost of quality project, as assigned - Issue change order requests to Engineering and Sourcing, as assigned General Employee Accountabilities - Bring full effort to bear on tasks assigned by manager - Give manager best advice - Give earliest notice when work cannot be delivered as specified - Cooperate and collaborate with peers and interact cross-organizationally as specified by manager - Exemplify Company Core Values: Integrity, Client Focus, Team Orientation, and Personal Commitment - Comply with all Company policies, practices, and procedures and all regulations and laws - Recommend viable improvements proactively - Ensure effective utilization of business tools and processes Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent via education and/or work experience. - 3 years of related work experience - Demonstrated successful working relationships with clients, suppliers, and other internal and external contacts - Demonstrated successful and positive personal leadership, interpersonal, organizational, administrative, and communication skills - Demonstrated continuous improvement in areas of responsibility - Proficiency in an ERP, MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint - Availability to travel domestically, less than 5%, sometimes with limited notice Preferred Qualifications - Proficiency in Oracle ERP, MS Project, Access, Adobe Acrobat, Visio, AutoCAD, CRM tools, HTML - Advanced Excel skills - Demonstrated knowledge of scientific terminology and engineering processes - Demonstrated knowledge of contract terminology - Demonstrated experience requiring application of international trade policies Link to TMEIC Corporation Americas website: https://www.tmeic.com/.
