Summary of Position: Primary focus on Design, Installation, Maintenance and monitoring all Data Center/Cloud System operations. Assists with Installation and maintenance of network switches, Servers for all applications, Backup services, Active Directory services and all other network services required for the campus. This position may require some off-hours and evening duties for updates, necessary maintenance, etc. This is a hybrid eligible position that would allow for 2-3 days a week working from home after the training period.

Essential Functions

1. Maintain and uphold the College values of Learning, Excellence, Accountability, Diversity, Student Success, Teamwork, Integrity, and Respect. Regular attendance is required. 2. Complete all required College training and responsible for maintaining the skills necessary to complete the essential functions of the position as defined by the department. Perform other duties as assigned. 3. Student Success is the cornerstone of Western's culture and the college may assign employees as needed to other areas or additional duties to foster this success. 4. Data Center operations -Supporting Actions Include:
- Maintain deep knowledge of information technology infrastructure domains such as server platforms, storage server platforms, server components, network devices, technologies and architectures, IT service delivery principles and best practices
- Programs systems, provides guidance for and trouble shoots operations focusing on Internet software, tools and access, Windows server software and hardware systems, SAN systems and Virtual Server environments.
- Assist with managing and maintaining backup systems.
- Assist with long-term planning with system upgrades and training
5. Technical support for information Systems across the district - Supporting Actions Include:
- Integrates current software with Internet access and web access and other platforms as necessary.
- Hardware setup and Network maintenance and support
- Test and troubleshoot systems software implementation and upgrades.
- Lead in network/hardware product selection and deployment
- Provide technical support for internal and external customers involved with IT applications
6. Business Analysis & Data Analysts - Supporting Actions Include:
- Work with users to determine business and data needs, design solutions, & provide support within the hardware platforms, the applications system and integrating applications to meet requirements of the College.
- Provide technical support to IT staff for implementation and maintenance of the College Information systems
- Assist with ancillary systems of Instruction, Finance and student services
- Process data needs from internal users

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in related field with 3 yrs experience OR
- Education in related fields combined with appropriate occupational experience in related field totaling 7yrs. (10,000 hrs.) OR
- Occupational experience in related field totaling 7 yrs. (10,000 hrs.)

This position reports to: Director of Information Technology
Starting annual/hourly salary range based on education and experience: $70,058 - $91,631
This position would include competitive salary, along with a wide variety of benefits available to full-time Western Technical College Employees.
