Description

Summary:

The Project Manager will lead Trident's Repair and Maintenance vessel project implementation teams through the full project life-cycle of assigned projects. This individual will be responsible for planning, execution, risk management, communications, project budget and financial controls of entire or assigned aspects of projects across a broad range of stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the completion of assigned project activities and milestones according to schedule, budget and within quality standards while maintaining good partner, customer and vendor relationships in accordance with Trident Seafood's Core Values.
  • Monitors, enforces and maintains job safety for the project by supporting and participating in all safety programs, ensures all team members are using required safety equipment and continually monitors the job site to ensure safety requirements are met in accordance with Trident Seafoods safety polices.
  • Reviews and controls project costs to ensure project completion on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with established goals.
  • Provides project status and financial updates as requested. Reports significant deviations from the budget to the project on a timely basis.
  • Develops, coordinates, and manages project plan and scheduling to ensure that deliverables are consistent with the required scope of the project.
  • Manages vendor partners as needed, to ensure their work is being performed according to the schedule, budget and set expectations.
  • Ensures all regulatory requirements are met including federal, state and local requirements for permitting, environmental impacts, worksite safety, etc.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Design repairs and modifications to vessels and equipment using autoCAD.
  • Acquires knowledge of Trident's Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions.
  • Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Travel is required to various Trident locations in Tacoma (WA),Oregon, and Dutch Harbor, AK.

This is a salaried exempt position with an annualized salary range of $105,000to $140,000.

Minimum Requirements

Required Qualifications (education, years of experience, KSAs)

  • A minimum of 3 years' project or program management combined with marine engineering or vessel operations.
  • BA/BS in engineering/supply chain management or applicable industry experience.
  • Experience with Control costs and managinga project budget.

Preferred education and experience

  • Project Management certification (PMI) and demonstrated core project management skills preferred.
  • Completed Courses in Six Sigma, Lean, Risk Management, Problem Solving a plus.
  • Proficient with project management approaches, tools and techniques.
  • Able to read and comprehend architectural drawings and schematics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, active listening, workshop facilitation, and the ability to build long lasting relationships with team members.
  • Proficient with project management approaches, tools and techniques.
  • Demonstrated strong leadership, communication, team-building, and decision-making skills.
