Overview

The EQA Automation Architect will provide technical solutions to a variety of business and technical testing initiatives. The EQA Automation Architect will be accountable for analyzing and designing testing and automation solutions to meet business and technical requirements and guiding the team to successful testing and implementation. The ability to effectively communicate with business and technical resources across the organization is essential.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required. An additional four (4) years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Five (5) years of experience in a systems support role with demonstrated results in analytics, configuring, coding, testing, problem solving and support required.
  • Experience with methodology-based development (SDLC). Waterfall and agile experience preferred.
  • Ability to articulate designs to other technical staff through discussion, diagrams, and writing.
  • Understanding of application design principles and application architecture.
  • Ability to navigate and work on multiple development platforms such Unix and Windows.
  • Experience with various development paradigms such as procedural languages, object-oriented languages, message-oriented-middleware, and ETL tools.
  • Strong database design and SQL experience.
  • Experience implementing 3rd party (vendor) systems and designing integration points to core administrative systems.
  • Ability to work as part of a team or to be self-directed as required.
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage small to medium-sized projects and lead teams of developers.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience with automated unit and/or functional testing methods preferred.
  • Experience writing and facilitating Requests for Information/Proposals.
  • Experience estimating projects for multiple IT functions.
  • Knowledge of health care payer business is preferred.
  • Knowledge of the following applications: Oracle, SQL Server, Java, MQ Series, IBM WebSphere, IBM Message Broker, RxClaim, Siebel/Dynamics CRM, DB2, Vignette, MDM, UFT, Applitools, and Health Rules.
  • Proven examples of displaying the IH values: Passionate, Caring, Respectful, Trustworthy, Collaborative and Accountable.
Essential Accountabilities
  • Provide day-to-day technical support to automation developers and other IT resources to implement automated testing solutions.
  • Provide technical direction by developing/recommending alternatives and creative solutions that are both effective and efficient in cost and process to implement testing and QA solutions and automation.
  • Gain approval and organizational commitment from appropriate IT and business teams for testing systems, infrastructure, and software.
  • Recommend technology choices based on business and technical requirements and information systems strategy, principles, and structure.
  • Follow established EQA standards, process checkpoints, and communications processes to ensure project quality.
  • Create reusability into automated testing solutions for resources to utilize in future automation development efforts.
  • Develop written automation specifications and documentation according to the engineering lifecycle.
  • Assist in the testing and validation of framework and automation code.
  • Provide day-to-day technical support to automation Developers and Functional Analyst to ensure effective testing of solutions.

Hiring Compensation Range: $110,000 - $125,000 annually

Compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to skills, education, location and experience.

In addition to base compensation, associates may be eligible for a scorecard incentive, full range of benefits and generous paid time off. The base salary range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
