CDL Delivery Driver

Position Overview:

Brown Jug is a premium retailer of wine, beer, and spirits. We offer a great place to work, with a friendly atmosphere and energetic work environment. The Delivery Driver delivers orders safely and efficiently to designated store locations within designated timeframe, while ensuring proper handling and delivery of orders. The Delivery Driver facilitates the loading and unloading of orders, stocking and maintenance of products, and ensuring order and inventory accuracy.

Primary/Major Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

People Management Skills:

• Customer service driven, friendly, and willing to talk to all customers
• Effective verbal communications skills
• Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor and attitude

Day-to-Day Operations:

• Deliver orders to stores in a timely and efficient manner
• Deliver written orders to airlines and freight companies, as required
• Load and off-load trucks
• Perform general physical activities to load, unload, sort, and move products and materials by hand, or use basic material-handling equipment
• Stock shelves, and keep stock clean and in order
• As required, fill orders from warehouse stock, complete order receipts, and assemble orders in shipping containers
• Perform general cleaning and maintenance duties
• Other duties as assigned

Regulatory Adherence:

• Ensure that OHS, LP and other regulatory requirements and procedures are implemented and adhered to
• Ensure AMCO and other government guidelines are met
• Adhere to all Brown Jug and Afognak policies, with a focus on Social Responsibility

Physical Requirements:

• Able to safely lift up to 50 pounds
• Able to stand for an extended period

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License and DOT Medical Card
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience operating a 3- or 5-ton vehicle (preferred)
• Valid forklift and Power Jack certification (preferred)
• Minimum, 1-year experience in warehouse environment (preferred, not required)
