What you'll do:

SUMMARY:

The Technical Trainer position is responsible for developing and conducting technical training to support the evolution of technology and the needs of the customer for the company's various product lines including, but not limited to, chassis, truck body, walk in vans, and specialty vehicles.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Perform tool training as part of new hire orientation

* Validation training with new hire in station

* Develop and maintain a training matrix for current and future employees

* Identify areas that require further training

* Train employees on company processes

* Develop and update standard work

* Develop and maintain training aids

* Train on instruction drawings

* Understand and teach torque specifications

* Present training programs using recognized training techniques and tools

* Facilitate learning through a variety of delivery methods including classroom, hands-on, and one-on-one

* Develop and facilitate training to meet customer, internal and external, needs and demand

* Review course content, objectives, and testing expectations to ensure accuracy

* Create and assemble training aids and displays

* Work with suppliers to ensure their active participation for internal and external training

* Maintain the required training to perform warranty-related repairs for company's products

* Support the logistics for training activities including venue setup and equipment

* Manage and maintain in-house training facilities and equipment

* Assist in the maintenance and facilitation of Company's Service Center Agreement

* Provide support for the preparation for all training including developing an agenda, booking a facility, ordering supplies, etcetera

* Other tasks as assigned

What you need to be successful:

* Minimum of 5 years' experience in technical training or instruction, service engineering, or heavy/medium truck repair environments

* Proven knowledge of competency assessments

* ASTD (American Society for Training and Development) certification, or equivalent, preferred

* State and ASE Master Certified, preferred

* Possess a CDL, or be willing to obtain

* Bilingual skills preferred

* Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred

* Strong and consistent attention to detail

* Self-motivated with the ability to stay on task

* Versatile, flexible, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities

* Creative and innovative team player

* Intermediate computer skills are required

* Strong:

* Communication skills, verbal and written

* Public speaking ability

* Interpersonal skills

* Organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
