Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, one of the world's leading global law firms with offices in strategic hubs of commerce, law, and government across North America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, is seeking a Paralegal for the Labor & Employment Practice Group. Reporting to the Senior Practice Support Manager, this position will reside in the Philadelphia office and will be responsible for providing a broad range of administrative and substantive legal support in an environment where superior client service is emphasized.

A hybrid in-office/remote working schedule is available for this position.

Key responsibilities of this position:

  • Serve as a liaison between the client and the firm to strengthen client relationships and serve as a legal project manager.

  • Collecting, organizing, and maintaining essential data and fact discovery used to influence attorney strategy.

  • Enhance communication with the client, increase efficiency, and build trust with the client.

  • Document and database maintenance; analyzing data as required using computer-assisted review technologies.

  • Partners with both staff and attorney stakeholders to scope, plan, and mange medium to high complexity projects on a global scale.

  • Assisting with service of discovery requests and document productions.

  • Assisting with drafting, proofing, editing, and filing court filings, briefings, and supporting exhibits.

  • Participates in fact investigation, witness interviews, and research into publicly available documents.

  • Fact and Cite-checking and Bluebook briefs, memoranda, expert reports, etc.

  • Creating Tables of Authorities and Tables of Contents for court briefings.

  • Calendaring all events/deadlines with the Calendaring Department.

  • Tracking and communicating case-related dates and information.

  • Assisting with deposition logistics and preparation.

  • Witness preparation, creation of direct- and cross-examination binders.

  • Assisting with pretrial submissions including exhibit lists, deposition designations and trial briefs.

  • Assisting with trial logistics, electronic courtroom set up, and demonstratives.

  • Daily trial attendance, exhibit logging/tracking.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience/Qualifications

  • Fact research skills desired.

  • Some legal research skills desired.

  • Prior experience in a litigation environment, is highly desired.

  • Previous law firm experience required.

  • Bachelor's degree and at least two (2) years of administrative support experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Portable Document Format (PDF) software.

  • Understanding of litigation support systems including, West Law Case Notebook and Relativity, strongly desired.

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, the ability to balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, and the ability to manage confidential information with discretion.

  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work autonomously while also functioning effectively in a team environment.

  • Exhibits strategic thinking and initiative in handling assignments and projects.

  • Works productively and effectively with all personnel as part of a client service team.

  • The flexibility to work overtime or travel, as needed to meet deadlines is desired.
