This Position reports to:

Production Supervisor

ABB Electrification is seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Lead to supervise our team's progress against work plans defined by Production management. In this role, you will ensure the effective use of machinery, equipment, and assembly lines within the production area. You will collaborate closely with the unit supervisor to foster a productive work environment while reinforcing production schedules and maintaining high-quality standards.

Your Role: Take on the Journey

  • Assists management in allocating, coordinating, and overseeing shift orders and work plan execution within production lines during the shift.
  • Provides regular feedback and makes recommendations to management regarding issues within the production line, including production line organization, shifting priorities and possible critical situations.
  • Helps management implement staff movements in case of vacations, illnesses, machine outages or shifting priorities.
  • Serves as leader during shifts to oversee cooperation and the resolution of technical/quality problems and logistic issues.
  • Reinforces focus on volume, efficiency and on time delivery.
  • Ensures the shift operation is run in compliance with health & safety policies and guidelines.
  • Conducts all types of assembly work to produce a semi-finished or final products/circuit breakers/relays, including the packaging. Work is typically done manually or by using light hand tools.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 3-5 years in manufacturing experience
  • Prior experience in leadership a plus
  • A mindset to innovate, take ownership, and drive continuous improvement
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
