The Workday Data Manager is a "go to" practice leaderthat provides expert
guidance, advice, and development support to the Consulting management teamand their subsequent team members. This individual will assist the sales team withsales activities such as orals, estimations, and Statements of Work (SOW's). Thisperson works closely with Engagement Managers, Project Managers, ManagingConsultants, and leads, and acts as a liaison between the Consulting team andexecutive management. This person will assist in identifying business needs,staffing projects, and ensuring that the work/life balance of our consultants ismonitored and adjusted appropriately.

Responsibilities:

Project Oversight:

  • Oversight responsibility for projects across the practice.

  • Oversee and assist Engagement Managers and team members whenneeded to identify project needs, reduce risk and develop solutionsand strategies

  • Ability to act as a Data Conversion Lead on Workday implementations, including the ability to use Advance Loads, Migration Recipes, EIBs and the Configuration Change Tracker

  • Ability to jump in and support projects with little to no guidance.

Sales Support:

  • Support the RFP response and pursuit process for Consulting work.

Team Leadership:

  • Assist in the recruitment, development, and management of a diverse,remote team of consultants supporting Workday applications.

  • Promote a team-oriented, challenging and innovative workenvironment.

  • Lead and manage a team of consultants to ensure they are adhering to the activities, processes and procedures outlined in Workday our internally developed methodology.

  • Drive team and individuals to achieve high customer satisfactionlevels.

  • Ability to establish immediate credibility with clients and within thecompany; can build consensus and achieve goals through influence.

  • Ability to build trust-based relationship and identify and foster businessdevelopment opportunities.

People Development:

  • Perform role of mentor and coach.

  • Analyze team skills and provide for cross training to maintain teams'ability to staff projects appropriately.

  • Advise management team on team members' level of expertise andavailability.

Performance Management:

  • Establish direct reports' goals and objectives during the bi-annualreview process.

  • Direct the collection of performance feedback from customer and
    engagement/project manager on a quarterly basis or upon completion

    of project for your entire team.

  • Direct the collection of all internal contributions for team membersassuring data is received by HR on a quarterly basis.

  • Drive bi-annual performance review process for the Consulting team.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Review estimates for sales opportunities.

  • Review SOWs for language and accuracy.

  • Attend Orals and prospect meetings.

  • Manage utilization to targets.

  • Monitor the sales pipeline to ensure accurate capacity planning for theteam along with assigning resources to projects.

  • Schedule regular 1:1 meetings with direct and indirect reports.

  • Assess team member skills and maintain skills matrix.

  • Meet with team members bi-annually to provide performance and clientsatisfaction feedback.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Possess 3-5 years of Workday Consulting implementationexperience, including required Workday certification(s).

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

  • Proven experience leading a virtual team.

  • Required characteristics: fast learner, detail oriented, decisive, and enjoyfast paced work environments.

  • Must work well within and across teams to get things accomplished.

  • Possess sales engagement experience estimating and presenting toprospects.

Salary and Other Compensation

Applications will be accepted until 08/19/2025 The annual salary for this position is between $148,824 - $188,193 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program , based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
