SPA's Air Force and Army Programs Portfolio provides aviation-focused analysis and program management for life-cycle systems engineering and logistics support, rapid capabilities development and fielding, cyber warfare operations, nuclear C3, and integrated air and missile defense planning. We provide advanced studies, wargame development, and analysis to support materiel operations, supply strategies, and fleet readiness.

SPA has a near term need for an Public Affairs Liaison at Ft. Detrick, MD. #MC



Responsibilities

The Public Affairs Liaison authors communication strategies with short-term and long-term goals, and plans for achieving them including specific topics or aspects to communicate with target audiences.

Develops and prepares articles for publication, and other informational materials, such as news releases, fact sheets, feature stories, background statements and public involvement plans for informing and involving the public on issue of local, state and federal significance, as appropriate.

Writes articles and speeches for organizational officials to specialized publics; prepares and publishes organization publications keeping all internal personnel informed of programs, activities, and career information.

Reviews all public information materials, publications, media productions, and activities for the organization to assure adherence to policies and regulations. Identifies, summarizes and analyzes public comments submitted to the organization. Initiates and prepares responses to inquiries from interested groups, and the general public concerning policies and activities of public involvement.

Arranges and conducts workshops, seminars, and meetings with various other organizations stimulating participation in its own organizational activities; and in identifying their concerns. Advises and assists the supervisor with implementing system(s) to track and address pertinent complaints, concerns and/or issues raised.

Prepares web-based contents and updates organization website including taking photographs or video of internal and external events and maintains database of images.



Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

    BS degree
  • 10 years of experience with multimedia publication (speechwriting, news releases, fact sheets, feature stories, public involvement planning, etc.)
  • DoD Secret clearance with the ability to maintain it throughout employment

Desired Qualifications:

  • Army Public Information Officer or Multimedia experience
  • PEO Soldier Experience
