Job Description
CSCI is seeking a highly skilled Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to enhance configurations and provide post-production support for our Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) R12.2.x ERP environment. This role requires deep knowledge of Oracle database schema administration, infrastructure collaboration, and comprehensive post-deployment support in both on-premise and cloud environments.
Responsibilities
- Enhance and maintain configuration of Oracle EBS databases (R12.2.x)
- Administer and support database schemas and schema objects throughout the project lifecycle
- Collaborate with infrastructure Database Administrators (DBAs) to design, implement, deploy, and maintain Oracle database infrastructure across client/server, data center, and cloud environments
- Use Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and related tools to manage environments, including backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures
- Deliver robust post-production support for Oracle EBS databases, including performance tuning and troubleshooting
- Forecast and plan for long-term schema and data management needs
- Apply rigorous quality control and audit mechanisms to ensure database accuracy, integrity, and appropriate access control
- Design and implement schema objects with a focus on efficiency, usability, security, and compliance with enterprise standards
- Provide guidance to end users and project teams regarding database access methods and protocols, including SQL*Net
- Support and optimize SQL queries and database performance in collaboration with DBA teams
- Assist with patching, upgrading, and maintenance of Oracle EBS databases
- Contribute to systems design efforts with database programming and optimization input
- Apply front-end and backend knowledge, including Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Oracle Forms, PL/SQL, and Oracle APEX, for integration with database objects and schema-driven UI elements.
Minimum Requirements
- Active DoD security clearance (Top Secret)
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience using database query languages (e.g., Oracle, PL/SQL, SQL Server, and MS Access)
- At least three (3) years of demonstrated expertise in database schema design, administration, and lifecycle management
- Proven experience in administering, operating, maintaining, and securing large-scale computer databases in at least two major projects within large organizations
- Proficiency in multiple operating systems, including UNIX/Linux and Windows Server, with hands-on experience in scripting or programming languages such as Shell, Python, Java, PowerShell, or JavaScript
- Must currently possess or be willing to obtain an active IAT Level II or higher security certification in accordance with DoD 8570 requirements. Acceptable certifications include (but are not limited to):
- CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, CISSA, GCED, GCIH, or CCSP
- Must currently possess or be willing to obtain one of the following Oracle technical certifications:
- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Foundations 2020 Certified Associate
- Oracle Certified Associate (OCA)
- Oracle WebLogic Server 12c Administrator
- Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) 12c Essentials
- Oracle BI Publisher (BIP) 12c R1: Fundamentals
- Oracle Planning 202x Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS)
- Oracle Identity Governance 12c: Essentials
- Strong understanding of data governance, access control, schema design best practices, and performance optimization
Preferred Skills
- Experience working in secure environments with sensitive data
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for advising users and collaborating with IT teams
- Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently
- Strong customer and vendor relationship skills
- Demonstrated ability to comply with data standards and policies
- Motivation to learn new technologies and methodologies that demonstrate value
- Past experience working with a federal agency
- Department of Defense experience is a plus!
