Position Summary
An administrative assistant requires, and outlines duties focused on assisting with general office tasks, research, data entry, and filing. Assistant may also be responsible for answering general office work, including (but not limited to) answering phones, organizing documents, and supporting various office operations. The specific responsibilities can vary depending on the department focus areas, or any related project goals.


Minimal Qualifications
General Office Support:

  • Answering phone calls: Directing calls and providing basic information.
  • Assisting with mail and deliveries: Overseeing incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and couriers.
  • Clerical duties: Maintaining files, organizing documents, photocopying, and faxing.
  • Setting up and organizing conference rooms: Preparing rooms for meetings and events.
  • Updating calendars: Keeping calendars organized and updated with meeting schedules.
  • Other general office tasks: Assisting with various tasks as needed, including ordering supplies and maintaining the office environment.


Data Entry and Filing:

  • Maintaining databases: Inputting and updating data, maintaining records, organizing information.
  • Filing documents: Maintaining organized physical and electronic filing systems.

Research and Analysis:

  • Researching industry trends: Gathering information on company position and market conditions.
  • Assisting with research projects: Gathering data, preparing reports, and supporting research initiatives.

Project Support:

  • Assisting with project planning: Providing support in project planning, scheduling, and execution.
  • Taking notes during meetings: Maintaining records of discussions and decisions.
  • Creating presentations: Assisting with preparing and maintaining PowerPoint presentations.

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Providing information to visitors: Assisting visitors and answering inquiries.
  • Communicating with colleagues: Collaborating with other staff members to achieve common goals.

Skills and Requirements would consist of :

  • Strong organizational skills: Being able to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Effective communication skills: Communicating clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to follow instructions: Understanding and executing tasks accurately and efficiently.
  • Good interpersonal skills: Being able to interact professionally with colleagues and clients.



Compensation
$15.00 per hour
