Job Title: Accountant Location with zip code: Madison, MS Shift Timing (Day/ Evening/ Night): 8am-5pm (Mon-Fri) Duration: 9+ months with possibility of CTH Job Description: This position will be a direct report to the Corporate Accounting Manager and primarily work with the newly acquired TTS Division, along with other accounting-related tasks as needed. The applicant will be responsible for handling and supporting our accounting department with day-to-day accounting activities. You will also be responsible for maintaining accounting records such as profit and loss accounts, ledger accounts, and the balance sheet of the company. Role & Responsibilities: Program level ASC 606 Revenue Recognition analysis & documentation Program Profit & Loss analysis. Month End close duties. Project creation in ERP. Internal and External audit support. Using company ERP to perform monthly account reconciliations. Maintaining Program Level General Ledger vs Subledger detail. Journal Entry creation and processing as needed. Resolving accounting anomalies/discrepancies as needed. Maintains the highest ethical personal and professional standards. Other projects and initiatives as assigned. Adhering to all the rules and regulations of the company. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field (Accounting, Business, or Finance) AND 0-2 years of related experience. 0-2 years of experience in GL accounting and Government Contract accounting preferred. SAP and Excel experience preferred. Must be able to work weekends, other shifts, and overtime as required. Some travel may be required.
