Posting Summary	A full-time postdoctoral position is available at Rutgers University, and is expected to start in early July 2025. The candidate will be responsible for the following, but not limited to: Conducting research on uncertainty quantification for thermospheric density predictions, investigating the impact of density prediction errors on orbit prediction, assisting with proposal writing, mentoring undergraduate and graduate students in the group and writing journal and conference papers, and presenting research at conferences

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience	Ph.D. in Space Science, Data Science, Aerospace Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a closely related field
Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities	Required: Proficiency in Python, Machine learning, and Uncertainty Quantification in engineering applications, Preferred: Background in space weather and astrodynamics Excellent written and oral communication skills
