What the day will look like

Essential Job Functions

  • Designs and programs requested reports/prototype systems with divisional interfaces using the AS400 (Cobol, RPG, CL, Sequel) and the PC - SAS & SQL.
  • Independently provides data feeds to carrier and coordinates and develops carrier information requests.
  • Serves as interface to IT and Offshore Engineers, Accounting Unit and Actuarial Units for K&K information.
  • Serves as project manager and reviews/provides direction for moderate and large size development / maintenance system efforts to ensure proper integration into the total system network.
  • Review procedures and suggests ways automation can help
  • Writes complex Executive preferred reports and graphics.
  • Train others in reportwriter tools - Excel, Power BI, Word and Report Builder.
  • Reviews data processing costs for efficiency type projects
  • Investigates problems and opportunities for solutions which may include automation
  • Builds interfaces to other functional areas

Skills and experience that will lead to success

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Bachelor degree or 10 years experience in related field required
  • Demonstrated knowledge of many programming languages including Sequel, SQL, SAS, COBOL and RPG.
  • Strong knowledge of manual and automated business systems design and programming techniques (10 years experience)
  • Strong planning and organizational skills and interpersonal skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proven analytical ability
  • Experience in insurance industry (4-6 years)
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently to meet project deadlines
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications

Pay Transparency Laws:

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $75,000 to $85,000annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
