What you'll be doing...Develop proactive and mitigating measures to detect and respond to potential threats to infrastructure, application, product, and cloud environments. Drive the technical oversight and guidance required to support the day-to-day Threat Detection operations. Serve as a subject matter expert on advanced threat analysis for team and stakeholders. Work on Security Operations Center (SOC) environment methodology including threat monitoring, intrusion detection, analysis, threat determination, incident handling, and remediation tracking. Research industry trends and best practices to ensure alerting and case management processes are evolving with the cybersecurity field. Evaluate Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) and Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) tools and make recommendations to effectively identify threat patterns, enrich investigations, and build automation-supported workflows. Identify gaps in detections and collaborate with teams across Cyber Security to mitigate threats by performing recommendations such as blocking of malicious indicators, tuning vendor signatures, and improving the overall Threat Management Center (TMC) security posture. Support internal and external audit reviews. Recommend ways to mature and advance the preventive and defensive capabilities of the TMC by leveraging internal data, threat trends, and operational metrics to clearly communicate the use case for alert creation. Mentor and coach TMC Analysts to build and maintain skills and techniques by hosting focused training sessions to teach new and specialized skill sets. Promote an environment of collaboration and individual accountability when it comes to problem-solving, decision-making, and process improvements. What we're looking for...Master's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Software Engineering, or a related field, and 3 years of experience in the job offered or as a Senior Threat Intelligence Manager, Senior Insider Threat Manager, or in a related/similar position. Experience therein to include 3 years performing each of the following skills:
In lieu of a Master's degree and 3 years of experience, employer will accept a Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in the fields stated above and 6 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the above.
