Posting Summary
The Department of Surgery at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School is actively recruiting an Experienced Abdominal Transplant Surgeon for a full time faculty position. Independent Experience in Liver Transplant is required. In addition mastery in organ procurement including donation after circulatory death is required. Experience in Normothermic Regional Perfusion and Machine Perfusion is desirable. Clinical and Translational research interests and experience is also desirable. Academic rank and additional leadership opportunities commensurate with experience and accomplishments. Opportunities to participate in Renal and Pancreas Transplant are secondary and available in affiliated programs in the RWJ Barnabas Health System.

Qualifications


Minimum Education and Experience
Qualified candidates will have graduated from an approved medical school, have completed training in General Surgery, and an ASTS-approved fellowship program certified in Liver and Kidney Transplantation. Candidates will be fellowship trained with a minimum of 5 years of post-fellowship experience in abdominal transplantation and significant primary surgeon experience in liver transplantation. Qualified candidates must be BC/BE in Surgery, TACC certified and be able to obtain NJ licensure prior to the start of employment. Compensation is commensurate with experience and includes a generous package of benefits.
