Description: NSI requires a Senior Product Support SME for the NSI Sustainment Group. The Sustainment Group manages Logistics Product Support Management and Integration services in support of NAVAIR Program Offices, Logistics and Engineering support services for Fleet Readiness Centers, and a cadre of complementary Readiness/Sustainment Data Analytic capabilities.
The Senior Product Support SME reports to and partners closely with the Sustainment Group Director to assist with managing the technical day-to-day activities of the NSI Sustainment Group to including monitoring performance against operational goals, developing audit ready reporting processes to assess operational effectiveness, and implementation of operational improvements and quality assurance. The Senior Product Support SME will assist the Sustainment Director to create Standard Operating Procedures (SoPs), operational handbooks, develop tracking and reporting processes and tools, develop/sustain project information flows and repositories, and develop and implement a total product support life-cycle training program for the NSI workforce. Essential Job Functions: 1. Assist Sustainment Director to continuously improve Sustainment Group's center of excellence capabilities, including: - Document and review project business processes. - Establish NSI program/project management best practices. - Workforce management including capability/performance assessment/documentation and KSA development. - Identifying workforce knowledge, skills and ability gaps. - Recruitment and retention. - Collaborate with the NSI Business Development team to sustain and expand Sustainment Group's operations. 2. Assist Sustainment Director to support NSI executive team with business development requirements, including proposals, white papers, and data calls. 3. Assist Sustainment Director to optimize operational systems, processes and policies, management reporting, information flow, business process improvement and organizational planning. 4. Assist Sustainment Director to collaborate with other NSI Groups/Departments to identify scalable solutions across disparate skill sets to sustain and grow operations with both existing and new government clients. Desired Skills: * Fiscal project management and budget development. * Business process improvement. * DoD project management business process execution. * Written and interpersonal communications. * Data collection and reporting in Excel and other data management and presentation tools. * Strong personal leadership and organizational skills. * Collaborative and confident. * Visionary - able to communicate and work toward organization's vision. * Preferred to have experience with NAVAIR data systems and business processes. * Demonstrated ability to interpret requirement to schedule and execution immediate-term projects. * Demonstrated ability to collaborate on cross-functional, cross-team projects in an Agile environment. Location: Lexington Park, MD Education: MS/MA/MBA degree. Experience: Ten (10) years experience in DoD weapon system program/project management. An additional six (6) years of DoD weapon system acquisition or program management experience may be substituted for a MS/MA/MBA degree. Security Clearance: Secret Clearance is required. Must be a U.S. citizen.
