The Business Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting on data related to the performance of data center operations. This includes developing dashboards, generating reports, and providing insights that drive operational efficiency, enhance service quality, and support strategic planning.

Responsibilities

  • Gather data from various sources, including monitoring systems, logs, databases, and operational reports.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
  • Maintain a comprehensive and organized data repository for easy access and analysis.
  • Analyze operational data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and regular reports that provide insights into key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Generate ad-hoc reports and analyses as requested by management and other stakeholders.
  • Define and track relevant operational metrics and KPIs such as uptime, resource utilization, incident response times, and efficiency.
  • Provide insights into the performance and health of data center operations.
  • Benchmark performance against industry standards and internal targets.
  • Interpret data to provide actionable insights and recommendations for improving operational efficiency and performance.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and optimization.
  • Support decision-making with data-driven analysis and strategic insights.
  • Work closely with operations, engineering, and management teams to understand their data needs and provide relevant reports.
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Facilitate discussions on operational performance and improvement opportunities.
  • Develop and implement tools and scripts to automate data collection, analysis, and reporting processes.
  • Ensure reporting tools are user-friendly and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
  • Continuously improve reporting processes and methodologies.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations in all reporting activities.
  • Document data sources, methodologies, and reporting procedures.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation for all reporting tools and processes.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience in data analysis and interpretation.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in data analysis tools and software such as Excel, SQL, AI, Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present data and insights clearly.
  • Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and accuracy in data management and reporting.
  • Experience: Prior experience in a business analyst role, preferably in a data center or technology-related environment.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Adaptability: Capacity to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
