POSITION SUMMARY:

Milliman, Global Corporate Services (GCS) is seeking an Organizational Change Strategist to provide strategic leadership for critical change initiatives supporting our global Business Transformation Program, initially emphasizing process modernization within our professional services environment. Eventually, located within the Business Transformation team, the successful candidate will partner closely with internal departments such as HR, Finance, IT, CRM, and Legal, leveraging existing communication channels while also developing new, effective channels and mediums for sustained organizational engagement. We are seeking a strategist who excels in advising business leaders, managing resistance, and fostering collaboration and adaptability across our decentralized, matrixed structure.

The ideal candidate is highly experienced in crafting strategic change management frameworks, particularly within professional services settings such as law, accounting, or consulting firms. Your role will primarily involve coaching and partnering with internal teams to refine strategic communication, ensure stakeholder alignment, manage resistance, and support cultural transformation. Rather than directly executing communications, your responsibility will be to guide and ensure strategic alignment.

RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Develop and advise on strategic communication frameworks, leveraging existing organizational communication channels and identifying opportunities to build new channels and mediums to articulate the benefits of transformational change.
  • Conduct thorough stakeholder analyses and change impact assessments across business units, translating insights into strategic, actionable plans.
  • Partner closely with subject matter experts and internal department leaders to inform comprehensive change management strategies.
  • Provide strategic oversight in creating detailed plans focused on stakeholder engagement, training, and adoption of new processes.
  • Identify and proactively address risks and resistance through strategic leader coaching and tailored resistance management approaches.
  • Collaborate closely with existing communications teams to ensure strategic alignment and effectiveness of messaging.
  • Coach internal business unit leaders on effectively managing resistance and leveraging internal change advocates.
  • Facilitate strategic leadership alignment sessions to maintain cohesive approaches and address organizational resistance.
  • Develop measurable success metrics to monitor change adoption and inform strategic adjustments.
  • Strategically partner with Learning & Development leadership to align training initiatives with organizational change objectives.
  • Maintain strategic oversight of documentation and activities related to organizational change initiatives.


SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:



  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field.
  • The ideal candidate must have minimum 10 years of experience working as an organizational change strategist or in a similar capacity.
  • The ideal candidate must have a Certification in Change Management (e.g., PROSCI).
  • The ideal candidate must have proven strategic advisory experience in organizational change management, especially within professional services environments.
  • The ideal candidate must have demonstrated expertise in coaching leaders on managing change and resistance effectively.
  • Must have exceptional communication and relationship-building skills with strategic influence capabilities.
  • Must be a strategic thinker adept at integrating processes across complex, decentralized organizational structures.
  • Must have the ability to effectively manage ambiguity and advise within decentralized leadership contexts.
  • Must be proactive, independent strategic advisor capable of collaborating effectively.
  • Must have familiarity with standard project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
  • Must have strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.


LOCATION:

This is a remote role. This job posting is expected to close on June 30th, 2025

COMPENSATION:

The overall salary range for this role is $93,700 - $185,400.

For candidates residing in:



  • Alaska, California, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington, or the District of Columbia the salary range is $103,070 - $169,950.
  • New York City, Newark, San Jose, or San Francisco the salary range is $112,440 - $185,400.
  • All other locations the salary range is $93,700- $154,500.


A combination of factors will be considered, including, but not limited to, education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, etc.
