APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS:
POSITION SPECIFICS The Department of Nutritional Sciences in the College of Health and Human Development is seeking an assistant research professor in the area of diet-related regulation of cardiometabolic health. We seek candidates whose work centers on assessing diet responses to well-characterized dietary interventions and understanding methodological considerations that influence observed responses. This is a one-year position with the possibility of renewal if funding is available. The position comes with a 48-week salary. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to Dr. Kristina Petersen's research program by collaborating on existing projects and developing and obtaining external funding for novel complementary lines of research. Dr. Petersen's research program focuses on dietary prevention of cardiometabolic diseases. The lab studies the effect of dietary components and patterns on risk factors for cardiometabolic diseases in humans. The successful candidate will also be expected to work alongside staff, post-docs, graduate and undergraduate students in the lab and contribute to laboratory activities. It is expected that the candidate will teach 6-credits (2 courses) per year.
