POSITION SPECIFICS The Veturi Lab (www.veturilab.org) at Penn State seeks a candidate for a Postdoctoral position to work with Dr. Sudha Veturi. Successful candidates will work with Dr. Veturi to develop and apply new scalable statistical, computational, and machine learning methods for analyzing large-scale multi-modal datasets (e.g., multi-omic, neuroimaging, and electronic health records data) to study the risk of cognitive decline. Qualifications: Ph.D. in Biological Sciences, Genetics, Statistics, Biostatistics, Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Epidemiology, or equivalent Proficiency in R/RStudio and relevant statistical packages for data visualization and analysis Proficiency in Unix/Linux platforms, such as basic shell scripting The ability to work independently and collaboratively, with strong written and verbal communication skills Strives to expand and improve upon current skills and knowledge, shows a high level of integrity, communicates clearly, and models collaboration and teamwork Candidates with proficiency in at least one modern programming language, such as Python, Java, C/C++, or equivalent will be preferred (but not required).
