Genesis10 is currently seeking a Sr. Application Support Analyst for a 6 month contract to hire role with our client in Minneapolis, MN. This role is 100% remote.

Summary:


We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Application Support Analyst. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience in application support, infrastructure management, security implementation, and IT service management. This role requires a proactive individual who can collaborate with vendors and internal teams to ensure robust solutions, while also providing strategic recommendations for infrastructure platforms.

This role will be responsible for supporting our Home Delivery pharmacy operations team, including the applications and systems the pharmacy utilizes on multiple sites. The individual must be effective in a highly matrixed environment with multiple stakeholders, including business leadership, business users, IT leadership, IT partners, and multiple vendors. The individual must be able to operate with minimal direction and must be able to communicate effectively with business and IT leadership.

Responsibilities:

1.Application Support:

Manage application servers

  • Installation & Configuration - understanding & figuring out the necessary software and config settings to meet specific requirements as well as ensuring compatibility with other systems and applications.
  • Monitoring and performance management - Help detect & resolve issues such as slow response times, high resource usage, downtime. Using tools to track metrics such as CPU usage, memory usage, disk I/O, network traffic etc.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application-related issues to ensure optimal performance and reliability. This includes providing support to users experiencing issues with applications hosted on the servers.
  • Integrations: Understand the integrations between applications, and be able to bring in appropriate stakeholders for management or support, whether vendor, business user, or other IT support team.


2.Security Implementation:

  • Understand and implement security needs in collaboration with vendors and internal teams. For instance, managing certificates and encryption to secure communications, addressing vulnerabilities, applying patches & updates etc.
  • Must understand security practices, understand client's policies, and how to effectively implement those policies across the application domain.
  • Coordinating with vendors & security teams to implement access management and authentication policies.


3.Infrastructure Management:

  • Evaluate and recommend infrastructure platform upgrades


4.Application Integration:

  • Analyze how different application components are interconnected.
  • Develop tools and solutions to support seamless implementation and integration with existing applications.


5.IT Service Management (ITSM):

  • Effectively understand and work within client's policies and procedures in Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Security Management, and Disaster Recovery
  • Ensure adherence to policies and procedures.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in application support, including server management and databases. Ideally have worked with application integrations (understanding specifications, communication methods, security controls), Java application servers such as Wildfly, etc. and SQL
  • Strong understanding of security protocols and user access management.
  • Experience in infrastructure evaluation and recommendation.
  • Ability to analyze application architecture and develop supporting tools.
  • Proven experience in working with ITSM practices
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Servers (primarily Windows server). Will have administrator level access and work with Windows server administrators.
  • Java application server: Experience working with application servers; performance tuning, configuration. Primary vendor supplied and supported applications are built on multi-tiered Wildfly application servers.
  • SQL Server/DB/SQL: Primarily work with vendors and DBAs to manage SQL Server DB instances. Ideally the candidate does have experience writing SQL scripts and/or queries and has worked with identifying SQL issues and/or tuning.
  • Desktop: Working with users on issues that could be related to applications or desktop. Will work with local desktop support engineers but need to be able to effectively troubleshoot or provide guidance or direction.
  • Communication/collaboration: The environment includes many vendor supported applications and services, which integrate and communicate with each other. This SME is often the only individual who will understand how applications and systems communicate and integrate with each other and needs to be able to effectively bring together the right individuals at the right time, sometimes across multiple vendors or multiple internal IT teams and/or business users. The individual needs to effectively communicate to these stakeholders, whether it is in a incident/support situation, or a long term/strategic planning discussion (eg: making changes to a solution or vendors, etc).
  • Pharmacy: Ideally have worked in a pharmacy environment and understand the nature of central fill pharmacy business. If this doesn't exist, the candidate must exhibit the ability to quickly understand the business and applications, including establishing relationships and understanding how the business operates, and how the applications and services support that business.


Compensation:

Hourly W2 pay rate $60.00-75.00/Hr.

We have access to additional contract, contract-to-hire, and direct hire positions with various rate ranges.
