Job title: Medical Copywriter
Duration: 6 months - possible extension - based on performance and business needs
Location: Mettawa, IL 60045 - Hybrid (2-3 days onsite / week)
Ideal Candidate?
- Experience developing HCP-facing sales materials for the pharmaceutical industry
- Working knowledge of FDA and industry standards for pharmaceutical advertising
- Strong advertising mindset, with attention-grabbing headlines and persuasive messaging
- 10-15+ years' pharmaceutical advertising agency experience
- Prior work on product launches is a plus.
- Candidates with 5-10 years of experience will also be considered if they show strong promotional writing skills.
- Works independently, often under tight deadlines, while juggling multiple brands/projects
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree or higher in a scientific discipline, or BA (Advertising, Communications, Journalism, or English) with relevant pharmaceutical-industry experience.

- Proven skills and experience in written communication.
- Proven skills and experience in developing advertising and promotional ideas, concepts, and campaigns
- Capacity to learn and apply applicable regulations and standards affecting Pharmaceutical Products, and the promotion of sales and marketing materials/samples and interactions with healthcare professionals.
- Knowledge and experience in translating complex information into successful communications aimed at various professional and patient target audiences.
- Advanced written, verbal, and presentation skills; project management skills; and organizational skills.

- This includes product and indication launches, sales collateral materials, sales meetings, convention exhibits, direct to physician and other healthcare professionals, direct to patient, Managed Health Care programs, videos, web/multimedia, internal communication programs, which may including sales training, incentive projects, change management communications, and internal and external corporate and c-suite communications on an ad hoc basis.
- The primary goal of this position to provide impactful strategic materials at below market rates.

- Collaborate with art directors and designers in the creation of materials
