Job Details

The Director of Delegated Vendor Management is responsible for developing and maintaining strategic relationships with delegated vendors (e.g. dental, vision, behavioral health, DME, etc.) to support health plan operations. This role oversees vendor selection, contract negotiation, and performance evaluation to ensure vendors deliver high-quality services, cost-effective solutions, and seamless integration with overall health plan operations.

Job Description

  • Develop and implement vendor management strategies aligned with health plan operational goals.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors, including, but not limited to, delegated networks.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between JHP leadership and vendors to ensure smooth collaboration and service continuity across the JHP enterprise.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing structures, and service-level agreements (SLAs) to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality care delivery.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for vendors to ensure service quality and contractual fulfillment. Conduct regular vendor audits and performance reviews.
  • Address vendor performance issues, implementing corrective action plans as necessary.
  • Leverage data analytics to monitor vendor effectiveness, assess network adequacy and to make informed strategic decisions.
  • Develop and oversee vendor-related budgets.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives and process improvements.
  • Responsible for implementing vendor payment and reimbursement into applicable JHP systems.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as provider network, legal, IT, vendor compliance and finance to align vendor services with organizational needs.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Supply Chain, or a related field (Master's preferred)

AND

Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience in vendor management, procurement, or supply chain within the healthcare industry.
