THE JOB: We are seeking a Senior Internal Auditor with a strong focus on Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Compliance to join our Internal Audit team. This role is ideal for someone that is passionate about ensuring financial integrity, improving internal controls, and helping the business meet its compliance obligations under the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. In this role, you will be part of SOX-related audit engagements, assess risk, and provide critical insights that help drive operational excellence and regulatory compliance across the enterprise. THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Lead and execute audits in compliance with IIA standards, evaluating processes across departments to identify risks, internal control gaps, and improvement opportunities. Prepare audit documentation, perform walk-throughs, examine records, conduct analytical reviews, and develop audit findings. Collaborate with audit team members, assign and guide staff auditors, and contribute to planning and scope development. Ensure audit evidence is sufficient, relevant, and properly documented to support conclusions. Communicate findings and recommendations clearly through verbal and written reports. Stay informed of new regulations, best practices, and emerging risks impacting the gaming and hospitality industry. Contribute to the continuous improvement of audit processes and internal controls. Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders across the organization.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience 2+ Years of prior relevant experience in auditing, accounting, or relevant field Strong knowledge of internal audit principles, industry best practices, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., SOX) Excellent communication skills-both written and verbal-with the ability to tailor messaging to varied audiences. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; experienced in drawing logical conclusions from complex data. Familiarity with audit tools, Microsoft Office, and general business software. Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
