Primary Function: The primary purpose of this position is to provide digital adoption and training services in various formats to support the robust technology ecosystem at Northampton Community College. This position will address large-scale, small group, one-on-one, and virtual technology training, as well as new feature/functionality/tool adoption needs for faculty and staff to ensure the college is leveraging technology resources with maximum effectiveness and efficiency while supporting the strategic goals of the institution.

Responsibilities: (1) Create multimodal training and reference materials for technologies in the NCC service portfolio (2) Develop effective training programs and communication strategies to support new technology adoption(3) Collaborate with various areas across the campus community to create educational content related to available technology resources (4) Identify training needs of employees and develop curriculum that meets those needs (5) Research emerging technologies and work to increase familiarity with available NCC tools (6) Help facilitate change management initiatives, working cross-functionally with all areas of the College to ensure the College is continually getting the maximum value possible out of the technologies it employs (7) Find data driven ways to track and improve both the efficacy of the services provided and the overall technical competency of college constituencies, documenting and promoting resulting improvements to the College where applicable (8) Work to improve the technology skill, technical competency, information and technology literacy for all employees (9) Develop and adopt energizing, exciting, novel, and proactive approaches for engaging employees across all campuses in the work of this role. (10) Collaborate with HR and other relevant staff on college-wide professional development initiatives (11) Perform other duties as may be assigned.

Organizational Relationships: Position reports to the Director, Client Services and Operations

Performance Standards: Performance in this position is considered to be satisfactory when: (1) mutually agreed upon objectives have been obtained within a specified time frame, (2) responsibilities of the position have been carried out at a level consistent with performance objectives, (3) effective and cooperative relationships exist with the other members of the, information technology services staff, as well as other members of the administrative team, faculty and other members of the College community. (4) leadership competencies are exhibited in a manner that strives for excellence, such that positive team/employee relations are fostered, and employee developmental needs are proactively addressed.

Qualifications: (1) Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, Computer Science, or Instructional Technology and 4 years of related experience, as defined below, or equivalent certification/experience is required. (2) Skills, Knowledge, Abilities: (a) Knowledge and experience with various IT technologies; b) Experience with instructional technology systems and services in higher education environment; (d) Experience with developing documentation, media content, and other training materials; (e) Excellent customer service and communication skills; (f) Experience with web and cloud-based systems and services; (g) Experience with Microsoft 365 products, apps, and services; (h) Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and/or similar tools for content creation; (i) Experience with innovative and effective training, delivered across a variety of modalities to groups of varying sizes; (j) Experience championing change management efforts; (k) Experiencing learning and training on new technologies
