Dartmouth College: School of Arts & Sciences: Social Sciences: Economics Location Hanover, NH Open Date May 06, 2025 Description The academic cluster on The Challenges and Opportunities of Globalization invites applications for an Economic Research Specialist (ERS) in the area of international economics. The ERS Fellow will work under the supervision of the faculty members affiliated with the Cluster on the Challenges and Opportunities of Globalization, including Treb Allen (Economics), Davin Chor (Tuck School of Business), and Yang-Yang Zhou (Government). The ERS Fellow's responsibilities include:
The ERS Fellow will work with department faculty supporting and conducting scholarly research and teaching in anticipation of advancing their skills and experience to prepare for the next stage of their careers. Fellows are expected to contribute to all stages of research - including research design, literature searches, conducting experiments, collecting and analyzing data, and writing reports and papers. Fellows may also have the opportunity to contribute in the classroom or in laboratory sections of courses, helping undergraduate students with labs, review sessions, paper editing and grading certain assignments. This position is full-time for the Department of Economics at Dartmouth College with a start date as early as 1 July 2025. The appointment will be for 1 year, with possibility of renewal for a second year. The starting annual salary is $55,000. Fellows who are working in residence in Hanover are eligible for Graduate Special Student status and the ability to take certain Dartmouth courses with the tuition paid by Dartmouth as a working condition fringe benefit. The benefit covers a maximum of 1 course per academic year the fellow is employed at the College.
