JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for management of the Operations and Maintenance staff at site. This position insures a safe work environment, compliance with all governing regulations and optimum performance of the equipment and the people.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Directly supervise employees as well as sub-contract services.
  • Interpret operational data and make operational changes as needed.
  • Coordinate all maintenance activities.
  • Successfully interface with environmental and regulatory agencies as well as generator and haulers to ensure efficiency processing and delivery of material.
  • Achieve budgetary goals.
  • Manage and track project monthly financials for area of responsibility.


SUSTAIN:



  • Manage, train, supervise and monitor performance of field and plant personnel to ensure safe and proper operation of equipment.
  • Manage projects from proposal stage to on-site commissioning and start-up.
  • Monitors and controls field and plant operations in accordance with manufacturers O&M manuals, SOP's and established company policies and procedures.
  • Enforce and maintain company safety programs and procedures.
  • Thorough knowledge of land application process, operating procedures and standards, to properly instruct employees.
  • Frequent independent decision-making to ensure safe and proper operations are adhered.
  • Develop and maintain daily spreadsheets relating to removal and materials land applied as well as compliance monitoring and documentation.
  • Ensures that the facility operates within permit compliance, at/above its designed capacity.
  • Reports weekly status covering all processing and maintenance related activities to Director of Operations.
  • Exhibit at all times safe behavior and perform job in safe manner.

  • Ability to assist EHS&T Manager with development and administration of training programs for staff.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both orally and written.

QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • Agricultural or Environmental degree preferred.
  • 2-3 years management experience.
  • Experience in agricultural or environmental industry required.
  • Must have computer skills and experience with Word, Excel
  • Strong organizational, time management and attention to detail required.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and state/federal safety rules and regulations preferred..
  • Be able to operator heavy equipment, ie. belt filter press, centrifuge, loader, spreader, etc.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and state/federal safety rules and regulations preferred.


WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
1. Talking, Hearing, Seeing, Standing, Walking, Climbing, and Fingering
2. The worker is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions
3. The worker is subject to hazards: Includes a variety of physical conditions such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to bio-solids
