The Department of OBGYN is seeking an Administrative Generalist/Coordinator to join our team in support of our expanding clinical, research, education and community missions. This full-time position is in-person and based in Charlottesville on the Grounds of the University of Virginia. Our growing department currently supports over 50 clinical faculty in clinical care across the State of Virginia, the 20 OBGYN Residents, 2 Fellowships, and Medical Student learners. This role offers variety, opportunity to engage in collaborative problem solving and welcomes initiative in execution of tasks. After 6 months, the position will be eligible for a hybrid work schedule of 3 days on Grounds with 2 days remote. This position is available to individuals with various levels of degrees and experience. Compensation for this role may be salaried or hourly and based upon years' relevant experience, qualifications, and education background. Annual compensation ranges from $57,000 - $65,000.
- Provide professional-level administrative support across multiple divisions, including clinical scheduling and meeting coordination.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clinical credentialing activities and ensure timely coordination with UVA Health and affiliate organizations.
- Manage faculty appointments, faculty affairs correspondence, and faculty action tracking in collaboration with the School of Medicine.
- Support the Department's financial operations, including expense report processing and invoicing for outreach sites through Workday Finance.
- Maintain and update Departmental websites and clinician profiles within the UVA School of Medicine portal.
- Assist with process improvement projects, including Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) cycles, data collection, project tracking, and action item management.
- Analyze operational data and generate reports to support strategic planning and continuous improvement efforts.
- Advise division and department leadership on administrative matters, operational problems, and opportunities for improvements.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and workflow across assigned functions.
- Serve as a departmental representative at meetings and participate in collaborative initiatives as needed.
- Other professional administrative duties as assigned.
