Job Summary

As part of Belden's Technical Solutions & Services Team, the Network Solution Consultant (NSC) is responsible for designing and implementing cybersecurity solutions that protect end points, networks, and data across IT/OT environments-from sensor to cloud. Using Belden's extensive portfolio of Layer 2/3 products, edge devices, firewalls, and security software, as well as select third-party technologies, the NSC collaborates with clients to assess risk, define challenges, and develop tailored strategies. This role leads the development of Solution Design Specifications (SDS), coordinates Proof of Concept (PoC) demonstrations, and ensures smooth transition to deployment teams upon customer approval.

Key Responsibilities

  Identify customer cybersecurity challenges and create tailored solutions that combine Belden and third-party technologies.

  Collaborate with Solution Architects, Digital Automation Consultants, and Professional Services to define risks and mitigation strategies.

  
  
• 
  

  Lead the development and delivery of SDS and PoC engagements to validate technical and business value.

  
  
• 
  

  Support commercial operations by translating solutions into deliverable scopes and assisting in handoffs to project execution teams.

  
  
• 
  

  Drive technical expertise and thought leadership through white papers, webinars, and industry events.

  
  
• 
  

  Maintain strong understanding of Belden's cybersecurity portfolio and market trends.

  
  
• 
  

  Provide input to product management teams based on customer feedback and market needs.

  
  
• 
  

  Support marketing with technical content for collateral, guides, and case studies.

  
  
• 
  

  Travel approximately 50% for customer engagements and development opportunities.

  
  

Qualifications

• 
  

  10+ years of experience in network and cybersecurity solution design, implementation, and protection (Layer 2/3, wired/wireless, ZTNA, NAC, etc.).

  
  
• 
  

  Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field preferred.

  
  
• 
  

  Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, ISA/IEC 62443, NERC CIP, GIAC) strongly preferred.

  
  
• 
  

  Experience with complex, cross-functional teams and consulting engagements.

  
  
• 
  

  Knowledge of cloud, edge, and hybrid connectivity models.

  
  
• 
  

  Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  Self-driven, collaborative, and adaptable in fast-paced environments.
