What success looks like in this role: Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer with deep experience in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and a strong DevOps background. This role is ideal for someone with a consulting or professional services background who has led multiple OCI cloud implementations and migrations. The ideal candidate will be fluent in OCI services across compute, networking, storage, and automation, and have a solid understanding of security and networking within OCI (though not necessarily at an expert level). Key Responsibilities:
Lead and execute OCI cloud migrations, including legacy-to-OCI transformations. Design and implement OCI-native solutions across compute, network, and storage tiers. Leverage automation tools such as Terraform, Python, and OCI CLI to manage infrastructure as code (IaC). Collaborate with security and network teams to ensure solutions are secure and compliant with best practices in OCI. Provide hands-on expertise in DevOps pipelines, cloud automation, and continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD). Work with Oracle applications and databases, applying best practices for cloud deployment and performance. Support consulting engagements and work with clients to deliver cloud-native solutions tailored to their needs. Act as a technical advisor and assist in translating high-level architecture (e.g., from AWS) into equivalent OCI implementations.
You will be successful in this role if you have: Required Qualifications:
Proven experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Hands-on background in OCI migrations and multi-tier architecture deployments. Proficient with OCI CLI, Terraform, and scripting in Python. Strong understanding of OCI's compute, networking, storage, and associated native services. Good knowledge of OCI security and networking concepts. Background in DevOps engineering and CI/CD methodologies. Experience with Oracle databases or Oracle-based applications is a significant plus. Prior experience in a consulting or professional services environment preferred.
