*Description*
The Utilities associate n ensures quality control for all types of FTTP and HFC system plant construction and activation (ie: aerial, underground, MDU, and B/A) in a manner that ensures technical fiber and construction requirements are adhered to, thereby ensuring customer satisfaction through a high level of operational efficiency. Assists the management team in ensuring that s contractor adheres to all specified construction requirements. Responsible for ensuring construction compliance in the upgrade, repair, maintenance, testing and documentation of all outside plant system components, from hub to distribution network. Position will ensure technical construction compliance for the delivery of such services as Video, HSD, IP Phone, WiFi, Metro Ethernet and BCOOL to the customer. This compliance position is a Regional Position which will encompass the entire AUS Region that it is responsible for, the actual "report to" location will be determined based upon the candidate(s) selected. Ability to perform all duties and responsibilities as described in all Construction Technician positions in full and adequate manner High School Diploma or Equivalent. Valid States Driver's License within State of Employment and CDL where applicable. Min 5 years' experience with construction and/or fiber responsibilities Strong written and oral communications skills. Knowledge of all MDU, aerial, underground and BA construction materials and equipment, related hand tools, including technical familiarity with HFC and FTTP system plant components and wiring. Knowledge of aerial and underground construction procedures and specifications. Knowledge of MDU and B/A construction procedures and specifications. Knowledge of grounding and bonding specifications as necessary. Knowledge of the complete usage of underground locating equipment. (UG Locator) Knowledge of basic test equipment. (VEEX Meter, Volt/OHM meter, PON Meter) Knowledge of basic design calculations for HFC and FTTP design specifications Knowledge of all contractor specifications and billing procedures. Knowledge of complete safety precautions. Must possess good PC skills including knowledge of MS Office software. Knowledge of construction compliance technician skills. Ability to carry and climb a 28-foot extension ladder. Willingness to climb poles. Ability to read system maps. Ability to operate and maintain a vehicle. Ability to work in all weather conditions. Willingness to work standby and overtime as needed. Includes emergency duty. Knowledge of Altice USA's system/plant components for HFC and FTTP Knowledge to operate all tools and equipment necessary for the construction compliance position in a safe and responsible manner. This role will be responsible for managing permits and working with local municipalities *Experience Level* Intermediate Level *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
