ENGINEERING MANAGER / ANALYST (SENIOR LEVEL)

Job Overview:

The Engineering Manager / Analyst (Senior Level) provides senior-level engineering leadership and analytical support to the Tethered Aerostat Radar System (TARS) Program. This position oversees technical project coordination, engineering analysis, and system integration activities to ensure the program meets operational and performance standards. The role includes interfacing with logistics, program management, and government engineering teams to ensure system readiness, compliance, and performance improvements.

Support Hours: Applicant shall be available during core work hours as established the Government customer.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide expert engineering oversight and guidance for systems integration and technical operations related to TARS.
• Review and analyze system requirements, technical specifications, and engineering documentation.
• Develop and maintain technical project schedules and support engineering milestone reviews.
• Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for technical issues in coordination with field teams.
• Coordinate engineering support for logistics, sustainment, and modernization efforts.
• Support configuration management and verification of system design changes.
• Prepare engineering reports, data packages, and briefings for internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with applicable DHS/CBP, DoD, and industry engineering standards.

Competencies:

• Deep understanding of systems engineering and integration best practices.
• Experience with aerostat systems, radar, ISR platforms, or related defense technologies.
• Ability to analyze complex technical data and translate into actionable plans.
• Strong project management and coordination skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.

Minimum Requirements/Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field; Master's preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience supporting federal, DHS, or DoD programs.
• Experience with system-of-systems integration, requirements analysis, and test/evaluation.
• Proficiency in engineering tools, technical documentation, and modeling/simulation.
• U.S. Citizenship required.

Security Requirement:

• Favorably adjudicated CBP Background Investigation (BI) or Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) required

Travel Required: 10-15%

Physical Demands/Requirements: Work is performed in an office environment. Mostly sedentary work. Repetitive motion. Substantial movement (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer screen; extensive reading.
