As the Instructional Systems Designer, you will you will be responsible for the planning and analysis of learning-courseware design. The ISD shapes the creation and support of a wide variety of learning solutions, ensuring the delivery of a solid learning experience based on learner needs and desired learning objectives.

Responsibilities include:

  • Applying the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation (ADDIE) model to design, develop, and implement learning and development programs, curriculums, and courseware.
  • Designing, building, and implementing classroom, online, and blended offerings.
  • Developing measurable learning and performance objectives that address necessary skill or performance attainment and appropriate Bloom's taxonomy level.
  • Identifying appropriate measurement criteria and instructional design strategies.
  • Providing input and guidance for the development of course content and high-quality, polished, creative, and visually attractive learning materials, instructional products, and content system requirements using proven instructional design principles and research-based learning theory. Examples include storyboards, scripts, interactive products, realistic scenarios to use in simulations, supporting material/media, and engaging learning activities.
  • Ensuring training products and services are aligned with professional learning standards
  • Ensuring proper functionality of courseware to support customer needs and contract requirements..
  • Managing project timelines in coordination with team members, subject matter experts, and external vendors or consultants.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Technical Communication, Adult Education, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in instructional design, with a strong understanding of adult learning principles and strategies.
  • Proven experience developing both instructor-led training (ILT) and computer-based training (CBT).
  • Proficiency in Articulate 360 and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Skilled in creating formative/summative assessments, including exam questions and performance-based rubrics.
  • Solid knowledge of instructional design models, task and performance analysis methods.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in regulated industries or with U.S. government agencies.
  • Background in leading creative or cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Captivate, HTML, and video editing tools.

  • You possess professional and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • You take a proactive approach to your work and you're able to accomplish tasks with limited guidance and supervision.
  • You have demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Your organizational skills allow you to manage competing priorities.

  • This position requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance. Active Secret clearance preferred.
