Responsibilities NORTON HEART & VASCULAR INSTITUTE, a part of Norton Healthcare located in Louisville, Kentucky, is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible acute care trained APRN or Physicain Assistant to join its growing team. Our team of five board-certified and fellowship-trained vascular surgeons and two advanced practice providers works closely with skilled specialists from cardiology, neurology and radiology to evaluate and treat patients with vascular disease. This coordinated approach ensures that patients with vascular disease receive the most comprehensive and personal care. It offers comprehensive cardiovascular care, including specialized programs for electrophysiology, structural heart defects, advanced cardiac imaging, cardiac critical care and advanced heart failure, including mechanical circulatory support and cardiac rehabilitation. About the Position:
The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) is to provide healthcare to patients with an emphasis on disease prevention, health promotion, health maintenance, and supportive care. The APRN works independently as well as collaboratively to diagnose, prescribe treatment, manage and evaluate patient care. The APRN functions as an educator, healthcare resource, interdisciplinary consultant, and patient advocate. Applies knowledge of growth and development in patient interactions; performs other related duties. The APRN demonstrates professional development and clinical competency, knowledge of professional nursing theory, practice, and medical care for patients of all ages according to the practice specialty. Serves in a clinical role to assist the physician in ensuring total patient care. Interacts directly with patients and patient families to maximize quality patient care. Qualifications Required:
