Your Role With Us:Summary:The Lab Assistant role involves overseeing clinical laboratory functions, including receiving, processing, and prioritizing specimens, operating and maintaining point-of-care (POC) equipment, and coordinating microbiology testing. Administrative responsibilities include patient registration, scheduling, insurance verification, billing, and ensuring accurate record-keeping in EPIC. The role also requires excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, handling inquiries, and coordinating referrals while adhering to safety, infection control, and HIPAA guidelines.
