In support of high-quality patient care, we are currently seeking an experienced Patient Registrar to join our team. PRIMARY FUNCTION: Our highly visible Patient Registrars are responsible for greeting and checking in patients, collecting co-pays and patient balances, obtaining insurance information and referrals, and updating patient demographics. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: * Registering patients, including gathering and updating demographic and insurance information * Collecting co-pays and patient account balances * Obtaining referrals * Assisting patients with health histories * Assisting Medical Secretaries with phones, patient sessions, and other functions in support of patient care QUALIFICATIONS: * Minimum of two years of experience in a medical office with experience in patient registration and an understanding of different insurance carriers and plans. * Knowledge of medical insurances * Prior EPIC experience. * Ability to demonstrate a mature, dependable, and responsible approach while effectively assisting physician's practice when interacting with patients, physicians, co-workers, and additional outside sources. * Intermediate to advanced computer skills. * Ability to multi-task. Detail oriented and highly organized. * Reliable transportation for traveling to various sites. * High School Diploma or equivalent. * Able to demonstrate and maintain a mature and professional approach when interacting with patients, physicians, co-workers, and outside sources DETAILS: * Schedule: Monday through Friday \| First shift (40 hours per week) * Pay: $20 - $22/hr. based on related experience. * Pay Cycle - Weekly \| Medical, Dental & Vision Benefits offered * This full-time position will rotate between local offices in Hartford County. Morning start times may be as early as 6:30 a.m. based on Physicians schedules - flexibility is important for this role! Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
