Description and Requirements

The SMB Segment Marketing Sr. Manager is a key player in developing marketing strategy and executing initiatives aimed at Very Small Business, Small Business, and Mid-Market customers. This strategic role collaborates across the marketing organization and works closely with our North American SMB Sales, Product teams, and Worldwide (WW) Marketing organization to understand business and marketing goals. The SMB Segment Marketing leader oversees the development and execution of the marketing plan to achieve business objectives and drive overall segment growth.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Sales and Category teams to understand and support segment priorities and goals
  • Collaborate with North America supporting marketing organizations and WW marketing teams to align on marketing priorities and goals
  • Define the end-to-end North America segment marketing strategy and document it in annual and quarterly marketing briefs
  • Own the annual marketing budget for the segment and manage the quarterly budget and associated operational activities
  • Establish supporting marketing objectives and KPIs; coordinate across supporting teams to ensure alignment
  • Own the overall segment target audience framework and associated messaging
  • Own and evangelize the "Why Lenovo" story for the segment, ensuring the strategy and content clearly articulate the value proposition
  • Develop the segment event strategy; partner with the Events and Communications teams to optimize execution and impact
  • Work with the Marketing Center of Excellence to plan and execute campaigns that reach the right audiences, deliver compelling messages, and meet marketing goals
  • Collaborate closely with the Demand Strategy & Activation team and Lead Development team to align on strategy, definitions, targets, reporting views, and results; partner with the NA Sales team to identify opportunities to accelerate lead conversion
  • Drive new contact acquisition, contact reactivation, and the generation of Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) that convert to Sales Qualified Opportunities (SQOs), pipeline, and revenue through effective marketing programs
  • Enable direct and channel sales teams with audience insights, campaign strategies, and collateral to support go-to-market efforts
  • Educate Sales and Channel partners on marketing opportunities, best practices, and techniques
  • Cultivate and share segment insights with relevant marketing teams at both NA and WW levels

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Management, or a related field
  • 10+ years of B2B marketing experience within the IT and/or technology sector; relevant experience working with, supporting, marketing to, or communicating with customers in the SMB segment
  • 5+ years in leadership or project leadership roles

Skills

  • Demonstrated creative thinking and problem-solving ability
  • Extensive experience in developing integrated go-to-market strategies and campaigns
  • Proven experience executing key field marketing tactics, such as customer events, sales enablement, channel co-marketing programs, and promotions
  • Strategic mindset with exceptional attention to detail
  • Previous budget management experience required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong leadership, teamwork, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across internal and external teams
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills to evaluate program effectiveness, ROI, and related metrics
