Associate Field Service Engineer

SUMMARY

The Associate Field Service Engineer would be responsible for the preventative maintenance, diagnosing and repairing of various types of audiovisual, videoconferencing and UC related systems. Thinking independently and working within the specified guidelines with minimal supervision, the Associate FSE will effectively interact with customers and colleagues, demonstrating the ability to successfully handle assigned tasks and projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Provide technical support of audiovisual, videoconferencing, and IT systems

• Diagnose audiovisual, videoconferencing, and UC related system problems.
• Repair audiovisual, videoconferencing, and UC related systems when possible including re-terminating various cable types.
• Perform Preventative Maintenance (PM) service on Customers AV Systems
• Configure equipment for a various applications
• Interface with manufacturer's to identify and resolve issues
• Effectively communicate and document activities such as keeping records up to date and entering and submitting timely accurate time sheet and expense information
• Rapidly build technical credibility with clients by providing superior customer service and product knowledge.
• Professionally represent Cenero at all times showing empathy, patience, and competence
• Coordinate required activities with subcontractors, manufacturers, and Cenero personnel through the required management chain

QUALIFICATIONS

• Associates degree from a two year university or trade school in an appropriate field or equivalent on-the-job experience
• At least 1 year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Basic knowledge of various types of audiovisual and related systems including switchers, projectors, Blu-ray players, displays, digital signage, microphones, speakers, etc.
• General Knowledge of ISDN T1/E1, Ethernet and H.320, H.323 and SIP protocols
• General knowledge of TCP/IP networking, switches, routers, firewalls and AV over IP
• General knowledge of computers (Windows based) and office software
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are required
• Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently or part of a team
• Strong time management, prioritization and both analytical and diagnostic skills are required
• Must possess good written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
• Valid Driver's License with minimum of 3 years clean driving record
• Audiovisual installation or venue/event management experience preferred
• Proficient in use of small hand tools
• Able to lift 40 lbs, climb 12' ladder
• Any applicable manufacturer trainings and certifications are preferred

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

- CTS General Certification, preferred

- Biamp/QSC Certification, preferred

- Crestron Toolbox and CTI-P101 Certificate or higher, preferred

- Crestron DMC-E-4K Certification, preferred

- Other applicable industry certifications and training as required.
