Role Summary

The Warranty Part Return Program Manager will lead the day-to-day operation of all aspects of warranty part returns from Rivian service centers and other related service entities. As the single point of contact, this individual is responsible to ensure organizational alignment with warranty part return priorities, inventory management, and continuously improve day-to-day operational activities through KPI management.


Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key communication link between warranty parts return and service centers providing guidance and feedback to facilitate smooth return of warranty parts
  • Track parts (incoming and outgoing) with vendors / carriers
  • Perform parts receiving activities including system updates to improve return processes
  • Coordinate movement of parts within the warranty return center and keep appropriate systems updated
  • Support the warranty parts return technician to provide initial triage and expedite allocation of parts to correct partners with appropriate priority
  • Coordinate inspection schedules and prepare parts for inspection by various inspection teams (quality / reliability engineers, suppliers, and others)
  • Support continuous improvement by contributing ideas in an open and always learning environment
  • Manage KPIs that will ensure warranty returns are processed quickly and efficiently through the warranty return center
  • Support line of sight to vehicle performance after sales by proactively requesting and managing part requests for product and process teams
  • Work hand in hand with Build-In Quality, Reliability Engineering and Service Operations to utilize field data to continually improve our products and reduce our warranty costs through the field failure analysis sampling plan

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain or similar discipline
  • 4 plus years' experience with program management, logistics, inventory management, packaging, and shipping
  • Knowledge of warranty related AIAG, VDA, and related tools a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple projects across varying geographic locations simultaneously
  • Strong problem-solving capability
  • Proven technical knowledge and ability to collaborate cross functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing / production environment
  • Computer and data entry skills - Google Workspace tools (Sheets, Slides, Docs, etc.), Jira, Confluence
  • Forklift certification preferred
  • Hazardous material and dangerous goods awareness preferred
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs

Pay Disclosure

Salary Range for Illinois Based Applicants: $111,000 - $138,700 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).

Benefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment and Rivian covers most of the premiums.
