How you'll make an impact:

As Manager, Business Development - Podcasts, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of SiriusXM's podcast strategy. Your work will directly impact the growth of our content portfolio, revenue streams, and brand equity in the podcasting space. By identifying and closing high-value deals, forging long-term creator relationships, and driving innovative monetization models-including video, host-read, and custom integrations-you will help expand our audience reach and elevate our competitive position in an increasingly crowded marketplace. Your ability to combine strategic thinking with operational execution will ensure that SiriusXM continues to deliver premium audio experiences to millions of listeners.

What you'll do:

  • Deal Sourcing & Execution - Identify and negotiate new podcast partnerships and renewals, including exclusive content licensing and distribution deals.
  • Revenue & Growth Strategy - Collaborate with the Content Strategy & Analysis team to build financial models for ad-supported, subscription, and hybrid monetization for each deal.
  • Partner Relationship Management - Build and maintain relationships with leading podcast agents and representatives, podcast creators, and networks to drive long-term value.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration - Work closely with Content Strategy & Analysis, Ad Sales, Content, Finance, Legal, Marketing, Partnerships and Programming teams to align podcast deals with SXM's broader business objectives.
  • Market & Competitive Analysis - Stay ahead of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities in podcasting and digital audio.
  • Operational Execution - Oversee contract execution, collaborate with Partnerships and Content Operations team to ensure smooth partner onboarding, and track deal performance against KPIs.

What you'll need:

  • MBA, JD, and/or 5+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, or content acquisitions in podcasting, digital media, or entertainment.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of closing high-impact content deals.
  • Familiarity with advertising models (CPM, programmatic, host-read ads).
  • Ability to analyze deal economics and develop structured, data-backed business cases.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to manage external partnerships effectively.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with a wide variety of teams, including sales, legal, marketing, and content teams.
  • Passion for podcasting and digital audio with a deep understanding of industry trends and key players.
  • Must have legal right to work in the U.S.

At SiriusXM, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the base salary for this position to be in the range of $115,300.00 to $135,000.00 and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
