Job Overview:

Our Information Security analysts are equipped to prepare, prevent, detect, respond to and recover cybersecurity events.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Junior or Senior level undergraduates and higher who are currently enrolled at an accredited college/university.
  • Students must have a demonstrated interest in the industry and/or specific area of interest.
    • Cybersecurity, Information Security, as exemplified through past work experience, internships and/or major course of study and preferably a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Other Skills and Knowledge: Python, Knowledge of SDLC, SQL, TCP/IP, NIST Framework, ISO Framework, Self-Starter, Windows/Linux/Unix, SOAP, SAML.

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Per Diem, Day

Essential Functions:

  • Participate in the team's activities such as security investigations, intelligence, assurance, and awareness and/or other project oversight.
  • Maintains records to allow for historical trending analysis.
  • Collaborate with technology, information security, and business partners.
  • Administer and monitor profiles, review violation reports and investigate possible exceptions.
  • Understanding security policies and standards
  • Prepare materials on information security.
    • Reports, presentations, spreadsheets
  • Document processes and requirements.
  • Assist in root cause analysis for incident management.
  • Leverage knowledge from the classroom and apply to RWJBarnabas Health.

Scope of the internship:

  • The intern will supplement the team by shadowing security analysts and accompanying them to technology meetings/workshops.
  • They will learn to use systems and data analysis skills to aid in providing state-of-the-art solutions to information security-related matters.
  • They will have to use written and oral communication skills to generate reports on security vulnerabilities and incidents.
  • Candidate with Assist in Incident Response activities such as Identification, Classification and Containment of incidents.
